Bobbi Beck - Mural Peel & Stick Hanging Guide

This guide explains how to install a Bobbi Beck Peel & Stick wall mural. The self-adhesive backing means wallpaper paste is not required, but careful preparation of the wall is particularly important.

Important: Peel & Stick wallpaper should not be applied to textured walls, such as orange peel or popcorn finishes, as an uneven surface can create air pockets. Textured surfaces should first be sanded or skimmed smooth, or covered with suitable lining paper.

Freshly painted walls should be left for at least four weeks before applying Peel & Stick wallpaper.

Before installation, allow the wallpaper to acclimatise to the room temperature to help minimise shrinkage.

If you notice any issue with the wallpaper during installation, stop hanging it and contact us as soon as possible with photographs so that we can look into this before you continue.

Step 1 - Initial Preparation

The wall must be smooth and clean. Remove old loose wallpaper, cracked or peeling paint, nails and screws. Sand down uneven surfaces and fill any holes or cracks before beginning.

Absorbent surfaces should be prepared with an appropriate wallpaper primer.

Step 2 - Prepare Your Panels

Each panel arrives labelled and numbered. Fully unroll all panels and arrange them on the floor in numerical order, with their edges butted together.

This allows you to confirm the correct installation sequence and preview the complete mural before attaching anything to the wall.

Step 3 - Begin Hanging

Remove a small section of the release liner from the top of the first panel and position the wallpaper on the wall.

Apply firm, even pressure and use a squeegee to remove any air bubbles. Make sure the edges are firmly sealed against the wall.

Gradually remove more of the release liner while smoothing the wallpaper onto the wall, working from the top down until the complete panel is installed.

Step 4 - Continue Hanging

Install the remaining panels in sequence, carefully matching the mural design and butting the edges together without overlapping them.

Press the edges firmly against the wall to create neat, close seams.

After Installation

Once installed, leave the wallpaper at room temperature for at least 24 hours and avoid significant changes in temperature or humidity during this period.
