Nutrabytes ingredients guide
This guide explains the main ingredients in the Nutrabytes supplements we sell, what each one is, and which products contain it. Where an ingredient has an authorised nutrition or health claim in Great Britain, we quote the approved wording. Where there is no authorised claim (as with collagen and ashwagandha), we simply describe the ingredient and make no health claims. Food supplements should not be used as a substitute for a varied, balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle.
Vitamins and minerals

Found in: Vitamin C & Zinc capsules and the Collagen Powder with Vitamin C.

Found in: Zinc Gluconate 50 mg, Vitamin C & Zinc capsules and the mineral complexes below.
Vitamin D3
Vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) is the form of vitamin D the body makes from sunlight. The Nutrabytes versions are vegan. Authorised claims include:
- Vitamin D contributes to the maintenance of normal bones.
- Vitamin D contributes to the normal absorption and utilisation of calcium and phosphorus.
- Vitamin D contributes to the normal function of the immune system.
Found in: Vegan Vitamin D3 2000 IU Complex and the Magnesium, Calcium, Zinc & Vitamin D3 Complex.
Magnesium
Magnesium is a mineral found in leafy greens, nuts, seeds and wholegrains. Authorised claims include:
- Magnesium contributes to a reduction of tiredness and fatigue.
- Magnesium contributes to normal muscle function.
- Magnesium contributes to the maintenance of normal bones.
- Magnesium contributes to normal psychological function.
Found in: the two mineral complexes above.
Calcium
Calcium is needed for the maintenance of normal bones and teeth, and it is included in both mineral complexes.
Biotin
Biotin is vitamin B7. Authorised claims include:
- Biotin contributes to the maintenance of normal hair.
- Biotin contributes to the maintenance of normal skin.
Found in: Biotin 12,000 mcg with MCT oil, plus some collagen and vegan blends.
Creatine monohydrate
Creatine is a compound made naturally in the body and found in meat and fish. Creatine monohydrate is its most widely used supplement form. The authorised claim is:
- Creatine increases physical performance in successive bursts of short-term, high intensity exercise.
This claim applies to adults performing high-intensity exercise, with a daily intake of 3 g of creatine. Found in: Pure Micronised Creatine Monohydrate (3 g per serving).
Collagen peptides
Collagen is a structural protein found in skin, bone and connective tissue. Collagen supplements use hydrolysed collagen peptides: collagen broken down into smaller pieces so it mixes easily into drinks. Nutrabytes offers:
- Bovine collagen, from cattle, types I and III: for example Premium Bovine Collagen Powder.
- Marine collagen, from wild-caught fish: for example Marine Collagen Powder. Contains fish.
There are currently no authorised health claims for collagen in Great Britain, so we do not make any. Some products combine collagen with vitamin C, and the vitamin C claims above apply to the vitamin C content only.
What about vegan collagen?
Collagen itself comes only from animals. The Advanced Vegan Collagen formula is a plant-based alternative made with amino acids, vitamins and botanical extracts. It does not contain collagen peptides.
Ashwagandha
Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera) is a plant whose root has been used in traditional Ayurvedic practice for centuries. Nutrabytes uses KSM-66®, a branded root-only extract, combined with black pepper extract, in Ashwagandha KSM-66 capsules.
There are no authorised health claims for ashwagandha in Great Britain, so we do not make any. Ashwagandha is not suitable for everyone. Speak to your GP or pharmacist before taking it, particularly if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, taking medication or have a medical condition.
Using supplements sensibly
- Food supplements should not be used as a substitute for a varied, balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle.
- Do not exceed the recommended daily dose shown on the pack.
- If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, taking medication or under medical supervision, speak to your GP or pharmacist first.
- Check the label for allergens. Marine collagen contains fish.
- Keep out of the reach of young children.

Nutrabytes ingredients FAQs
What is the difference between bovine and marine collagen?
Bovine collagen comes from cattle; marine collagen comes from fish. Both are hydrolysed collagen peptides. Choose based on dietary preference and allergies.
Is vegan collagen real collagen?
No. Collagen only comes from animals. Vegan “collagen” products are plant-based blends designed as an alternative.
Does collagen have proven health benefits?
There are no authorised health claims for collagen in Great Britain, so we do not make any.
How much creatine is in a serving?
The unflavoured creatine provides 3 g per serving. Check each product label for exact amounts.
Are Nutrabytes supplements vegan?
Many are, including the Vitamin C & Zinc, Vitamin D3, biotin and ashwagandha capsules. Check each product page to confirm. Collagen powders and capsules are made from cattle or fish, so they are not vegan.
