    Product Description

    Product Description

Mango Butter, derived from mango fruit seeds, is a soft, nourishing seed butter ideal for skincare and hair care. With its creamy texture, it melts upon contact, providing moisturization without greasiness. It has undergone a process of steam deodorisation and decolourisation using diatomaceous earth and is rich in fatty acids and vitamins A and E. This makes it a versatile ingredient for body butters, lip balms, and hair masks.

It absorbs quickly, blends well with oils like coconut and shea butter, and suits all skin types, especially those seeking sustainable, eco-friendly ingredients. Its neutral scent ensures it won't overpower fragrance blends.

An off white to pale yellow soft to semi-solid fat with a mild aroma that is made by pressing the seed kernels of the mango fruit. It has then been refined to remove impurities. This is pure butter and is not hydrogenated.

    How to use it

    • Use 1% to 100%.
    • Oil-soluble, so it cannot be used in water-only products. It can be used in small amounts in water-based gels that will hold it in suspension.
    • Heat stable, so can be used in Stage 1 (fat stage) when making creams and lotions.
Mango Butter works very well in hair conditioners when Emulsifying Wax (BTMS 25) is used as the emulsifier.

    Skin Care

    • Mango Butter is a wonderful emollient that helps to keep the skin well hydrated and moisturised. This helps to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and improve the tone of the skin, keeping it supple and radiant.

    • It soothes and smooths parched skin instantly without leaving any greasy after-feel.

    • Mango Butter is rich in antioxidants.
    • Gentle enough for use on babies, it can help with cradle cap and is a good barrier against nappy rash.

    • Irritated skin will benefit from the gentle soothing action of Mango Butter whilst it protects the skin from external aggressors.

    • In soap making, it produces a hard bar with a stable, conditioning lather.

    Hair Care

    • When used in hair conditioners and hair packs, Mango Butter encourages healthy hair growth by nourishing the scalp and giving volume to the hair shaft.

    • It conditions and moisturises very dry and over-processed hair and reduces breakage.

    • It is excellent for taming frizzy hair, and regular use restores flexibility to brittle and coarse hair by conditioning and smoothing out the keratin on the hair shaft.

    • Mango Butter conditions the scalp.

    • In hair masks and packs, it can help to remove excess sebum from the scalp and hair, leaving it cleaner and softer without feeling greasy or sticky. In a rinse-off formulation, it does not leave the hair feeling lank or heavy.
