    Inci: Lavandula Angustifolia Flower Water

    A hydrolat which is made by steam distillation of the flowers of the Lavandula Angustifolia plant. It has a gentle astringency effect. It is ideal to use in anti aging products.

    PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

    A colourless to very pale yellow liquid with a fresh, typically lavender aroma that is obtained by steam distillation of the flowering tops of the organic Lavandula Angustifolia plant.
    • Use 1% to 100%. However, it is a very potent water and you may find that 10% is effective enough. Use more diluted on babies.
    • Water soluble so cannot be used in oil only products.
    • Heat stable so can be used in Stage 2 (water stage) when making creams and lotions.
    • This hydrolat has had no broad spectrum preservative added to its bottle, so please take care to not contaminate it during use.
    Hydrolats are very prone to fungal contamination. Store them in the fridge if you can and never leave the tops off the bottles whilst you are working.
     
    Blend with other flower waters at the recommended dilutions for refreshing and tonifying facial mists.
     
    Can be used as a room spray to deter flying insects and as an air freshener.
     
    Can be added to your steam iron to freshen clothes as you press them.

    HOW TO USE IT

    Skin Care
    • Lavender Hydrolat has a gentle astringency which is useful in anti aging products to firm the skin and smooth out fine lines. Use in creams, lotions, gels and serums.
    • It’s refreshing and soothing on the skin. Use for all skin types, even sensitive skin but dilute it accordingly.
    • Use Lavender Hydrolat as part of a blend in facial cleansers and toners. It will soothe and calm areas the skin.
    • It’s very calming to the mind and can help with restful sleep. Spray just a little on your pillow. Too much, and it can become a stimulant.
    • Excellent to use in an oil burner to meditate with as it dispels negativity and enables deeper focus.
     
    Hair Care
    • No direct hair care usage but will help to rebalance an oily scalp if used in a hair conditioner.
