Benin Leopard sculpture - Bronze Large 107.2

Benin animals, and bronze objects, were used in West Africa as a form of currency and thus status. Their value lies in both the metal used and the ornamentation created on the sculpture.

Benin animals are made using the lost-wax method of casting.

Sizes are slightly different to each other average for each of our stock :  H 41cm W 39cm D 11cm
