Bohero Buhera Basket

A hand-woven Buhera basket from Zimbabwe

Hand-woven by women of the Buhera district, on the border of Zimbabwe and Zambia, from local river reeds traditionally used to store grain. Each is shaped entirely by hand, so size and shape vary slightly from piece to piece — small irregularities that are part of the character. The photographs show our own stock; the basket you receive will be similar but unique. A beautifully organic floor basket, planter surround or storage piece.

Available in six sizes (approximate height, as each is hand-made):

XS: 15–30cm H
Small: 30–40cm H (approx. 32cm W, 16cm opening)
Medium: 40–60cm H (approx. 38cm W, 16–18cm opening)
Large: 60–80cm H (approx. 50cm W, 17–18cm opening)
XL: 80–100cm H (approx. 60cm W, 25–28cm opening)
XXL: 100–120cm H
