Vintage Moss Bowl FR84

A shallow oval bowl, hand-carved from a single piece of wood and filled with soft cushions of preserved bun moss. The bowl started life as a food-sharing bowl in rural Asia. We have given it a second life as a centrepiece for a dining table, coffee table or sideboard.

The moss is preserved rather than living, so it needs no water, light or care. Keep it out of direct sun and away from radiators and it will hold its colour for years.

A one-off: the colour, shape and wear of the wood are unique to this bowl.
