Houttuynia cordata 'Chameleon'

Houttuynia cordata, commonly known as chameleon plant, is a low-growing, spreading perennial with heart-shaped leaves that are green with creamy-white and pink margins, forming dense, colourful mats. In summer, it produces small, inconspicuous greenish-yellow flowers that add subtle texture rather than showy blooms.

This cultivar is valued for damp ground cover and stabilising pond edges while providing interest with its variegated foliage. Its creeping, vigorous habit and tolerance of consistently moist soils make it ideal for pond margins, bog gardens, and naturalistic water features.
