Commonly known as the "German Turnip," Kohl Rabi is a fast-growing, delicious brassica that produces a swollen, bulb-like stem just above the ground. It is prized for its crisp, juicy white flesh that offers a mild, sweet flavour—reminiscent of a cross between a crisp apple and a tender broccoli stem.

Select your variety:

• Green Delicacy: The classic choice for the earliest harvest. It produces pale, lime-green bulbs with a delicate, melting texture. Excellent for early spring sowings.

• Purple Delicacy: A stunning addition to the garden with vibrant, deep-purple skin. It is slightly slower to mature than the green variety but offers superior hardiness and a striking visual contrast on the plate.

Growing Instructions

• Pack Size: 500 Seeds

• Position: Full Sun; fertile, moisture-retentive soil.

• Sow Outdoors: March to July.

• Sowing Depth: 1cm (0.5in).

• Spacing: Rows 30cm apart; thin seedlings to 15cm (6in) apart.

• Harvest: June to October.

Gardener’s Tip: To enjoy Kohl Rabi at its best, harvest when the bulbs are between the size of a golf ball and a tennis ball. This ensures the texture remains crisp and succulent. If left to grow too large, the "bulb" can become woody.
