Is Meadow the Right Lash Glue for You?

Choosing a lash adhesive should be based on your application speed and working environment, rather than simply choosing the fastest adhesive available.

Meadow is our slowest traditional cyanoacrylate adhesive at 1–2 seconds, giving you more time to place the extension and complete your attachment before the adhesive cures.

This makes it particularly suitable if you are newly qualified, still developing your speed or simply prefer a more controlled working pace.

Do not make the mistake of thinking a faster adhesive automatically means better retention. An adhesive that is too fast for you can begin curing before you have completed the attachment, which may contribute to lash pop-offs.

If you are experiencing pop-offs during application, Meadow may actually be a better choice than moving to an even faster adhesive.

If, however, you are becoming quicker and regularly finding that the adhesive is still wet when you move on, you may be ready for Spring (approx. 1 second).

Cosmetic-Grade Lash Adhesive, Made in the UK

Meadow is manufactured and quality controlled in the UK specifically for professional lash-extension use, using cosmetic-grade ingredients and controlled manufacturing processes.

Each batch is tested for consistency and performance, helping to ensure the adhesive meets the expected specification before release.

Meadow uses BHA (Butylated Hydroxyanisole) as its stabiliser.

We believe lash artists should know what they are working with, which is why we clearly disclose our adhesive ingredients and the stabilising system used within the formulation.

Meadow Working Conditions

Your room conditions affect how quickly cyanoacrylate adhesive cures.

Meadow's recommended working environment is:

Temperature: 20–24°C (68–75°F)
Humidity: 40–70% RH
Sweet spot: Approximately 55% RH

Our traditional adhesives share the same recommended working range and are differentiated primarily by curing speed and viscosity, rather than being separate formulas for different humidity levels.

Higher humidity will generally make your adhesive cure faster, while lower humidity will generally slow it down.

This means Meadow's 1–2 second drying time can feel different depending on your treatment room conditions and placement speed.

If your humidity is lower and your adhesive is curing too slowly, our Low Humidity Retention Booster can be used according to its instructions.

How to Use Meadow Lash Adhesive

Shake Meadow by hand for a full two minutes before your first use of the day to thoroughly mix the formulation.

Between adhesive drops, shake for approximately 30 seconds.

When dispensing your adhesive:

• Remove the cap before shaking

• Shake the bottle from side to side rather than vigorously up and down

• Turn the bottle upside down and allow gravity to dispense the drop rather than squeezing the bottle

• Use small, fresh drops throughout the treatment

• Wipe the nozzle after dispensing with a lint-free wipe

• Replace the cap securely between uses

Correct adhesive handling helps maintain consistency and reduces product build-up around the nozzle.

How to Store Meadow

Store Meadow in a cool, dark place inside its airtight storage container with the silica pack provided.

Keep the bottle upright with the cap securely closed, and avoid unnecessary exposure to heat, humidity and direct sunlight.

Unopened shelf life: Up to 12 months
Opened shelf life: 90+ days when correctly stored and handled

Always refer to the expiry information supplied with your individual product.

Getting the Best Retention From Meadow

Retention is not determined by your adhesive alone.

Preparation, attachment, application speed, natural lash condition, room environment, client aftercare and the natural lash cycle can all affect how long extensions remain attached.

Meadow can provide up to approximately 6–7 weeks' retention under suitable conditions, but this is not a guarantee for every client.

Our pH Balancer, Low Humidity Retention Booster and Super Bonder can also be incorporated into your treatment where appropriate.

Additional products should be selected according to the client's lashes, your working environment and the individual product instructions rather than automatically being used with every set.

First Time Using Ladybug Lashes Adhesive?

If you are switching from another brand, do not assume a 1–2 second adhesive will feel identical to another adhesive with the same stated speed.

Differences in formulation, viscosity, stabilising systems, room conditions and application technique can all affect how an adhesive performs in practice.

That is why we recommend trying one of our 1g Lash Glue Samples before committing to a full-size bottle if you have never used our adhesives before.

This gives you the opportunity to find the Ladybug adhesive that best matches your actual placement speed and working environment.

Adhesive Nozzle Information

Our adhesive bottle/nozzle style can vary between production batches. Depending on the batch, a 3g or 5g bottle may arrive with either a pre-pierced nozzle or a nozzle that requires piercing before first use.

This does not affect the freshness, quality or performance of the adhesive. A pre-pierced nozzle does not mean the bottle has previously been opened; it is simply the bottle/nozzle format used for that production batch.

We continue to include a nozzle pin with every adhesive, as we always have. As nozzle style may vary, we cannot guarantee a specific nozzle type when ordering.

Meadow Lash Adhesive FAQs

Is Meadow suitable for beginners?

Yes. Meadow is our recommended traditional adhesive for newly qualified lash artists.

Its 1–2 second drying time gives you more time to complete your placement and attachment than our faster Spring, Wildflower and Damselfly adhesives.

It is also suitable for experienced artists who simply prefer a slightly slower adhesive.

Is a slower lash adhesive worse for retention?

No. Faster does not automatically mean better retention.

The best adhesive speed is the one that matches your placement speed.

If an adhesive cures before you have completed the attachment, the bond may be compromised. Equally, if it is still wet when you move on, you can increase the risk of stickies.

The aim is to find an adhesive that cures at the right point in your application process.

When should I move from Meadow to Spring?

You do not have to move away from Meadow simply because you become more experienced.

However, if your placement becomes faster and you are regularly finding that Meadow has not cured when you are ready to move on, Spring (approx. 1 second) may better match your speed.

Can Meadow be used for Classic and Volume lashes?

Yes. Meadow can be used for professional Classic, Hybrid and Volume lash-extension techniques.

Because it has a thin-to-medium viscosity, it will feel slightly different from our very thin Spring, Wildflower and Damselfly adhesives.

Why am I getting pop-offs with a faster adhesive?

Your adhesive could be curing before you have completed the attachment.

This is one reason moving to an even faster adhesive is not always the answer to retention problems.

Check your temperature, humidity and placement speed. A slower adhesive such as Meadow may give you enough working time to create a better attachment.

Why am I getting stickies with Meadow?

If Meadow is still wet when you move on to the next lash, it may be curing too slowly for your current placement speed or room conditions.

Check your temperature and humidity first. If your conditions are suitable and your placement has become consistently faster, Spring (approx. 1 second) may now better match your working speed.

Does Meadow have low fumes?

Meadow is classed within our range as having minimal fumes.

However, minimal fumes does not mean allergy-free, hypoallergenic or suitable for someone with a known cyanoacrylate allergy.

Do I need to patch test Meadow?

Yes. Ladybug Lashes requires a patch test before using Meadow on a client.

Patch testing should be carried out 24–48 hours before treatment using the adhesive that will be used for the full application.

For lash-extension adhesive, our recommended method is to apply 5–10 lash extensions per eye, rather than applying adhesive directly to the skin.

A negative patch test cannot guarantee that a reaction will not occur during or after a full treatment, but the required patch test should still be completed.

Always follow any additional requirements set by your insurer.

Can I use Meadow on myself?

No. Meadow is a professional-use lash-extension adhesive and is not suitable for self-application, DIY lashes or strip lashes.

Can I get the SDS?

Yes. The relevant SDS is available on request for the adhesive supplied with your order.
