Mammillaria elegans (Pincushion cactus)- British Grown Cacti

This beautiful cactus with white spines originates from Mexico. Widely cultivated, the Mammillaria genus is incredibly popular, with their name mama, coming from the Latin term for little wart/ tubercle. The flowers grow in a circles around the cactus. Native to Mexico, the elegans can bloom in the summer with red flowers.

HATES- Water-logged soil.
