Hakonechloa macra is a graceful Japanese forest grass with flowing, arching green foliage that gently cascades from the centre of the plant. Its soft movement and relaxed habit make it ideal for bringing calm structure to borders, especially in shaded or sheltered areas where harsher grasses struggle.

These are small, young Hakonechloa macra plants, recent;ly potted on from plug plants, and it’s completely normal for them to take their time settling in. They can appear to ‘sulk’ in the first year while establishing, but from year two onwards they grow much more strongly and really start to fill out. Deciduous grass - may look different from our photos depending on the time of the year ordered
