Organic tri-colour quinoa brings white, red and black quinoa together in one pack – soft fluffiness, firmer bite and colour from a single bag.

Grown for thousands of years in the mountainous regions of South America, quinoa is a seed cooked like a grain and a complete protein containing all nine essential amino acids. This organic tri-colour blend provides 10g of protein and 8.3g of fibre per 100g and is naturally gluten-free.

    Best for

    • Salads and grain bowls that need colour and texture
    • Striking side dishes in place of rice or couscous
    • Batch-cooked lunches that hold up in the fridge

    FAQ

Why should I rinse quinoa before cooking?

Quinoa has a natural saponin coating that tastes bitter. Rinse it in a fine sieve under cold running water until the water runs clear before cooking.

How do I cook tri-colour quinoa?

Simmer in a pot of water (or broth) for about 15 minutes, until the grains are tender and a white tail appears around each one. Rest for 5 minutes off the heat, then fluff with a fork. The red and black grains keep a little more bite than the white.

How is tri-colour different from single-colour quinoa?

It is all three in one: the softness of white plus the firmer texture and deeper flavour of red and black. Prefer one style? Try the soft, fluffy Organic Quinoa Grain or the firmer, salad-friendly Red Quinoa.

Available in 500g, 1kg, 2kg and 3kg resealable pouches, plus a 25kg sack for trade buyers (some large sizes may have non-resealable packaging).
