Pepin Olla Self-Watering Plant Reservoir - Terracotta

Keep your houseplants happily hydrated with a Pepin Olla. This classic design is left in warm, natural unglazed terracotta – simple, earthy and at home in any pot. Inspired by an ancient irrigation method used for over 2,000 years, this handmade terracotta reservoir sits in the soil beside your plant and releases water slowly through its porous clay, straight to the roots. Your plant draws exactly what it needs, when it needs it – no more guesswork, overwatering or thirsty leaves.

Why you’ll love it

• Self-watering – one fill usually lasts about a week, depending on the plant and the season
• Handmade in Portugal from 100% natural, microporous terracotta, so no two are exactly alike
• Natural cork stopper slows evaporation and keeps soil out
• Encourages deep, healthy roots and saves water
• A thoughtful, practical gift for new and experienced plant lovers alike

How to use

1. Dig a small hole in the compost of your pot, close to the plant.
2. Bury the Olla in the compost, leaving its neck above the soil.
3. Fill with water, pop the cork back in and let the Olla do the rest. Refill when it’s empty.
