Verbena bonariensis is one of those plants that quietly steals the show. Tall, airy stems hold clusters of tiny purple flowers that seem to float above the border, catching the light beautifully and adding a lovely sense of movement. It’s perfect for weaving through other plants, softening edges, and creating that natural, relaxed look that bees and butterflies can’t resist.
This long-flowering perennial blooms from summer right into autumn, bringing months of colour when much of the garden is starting to fade. Despite its delicate look, it’s surprisingly tough and low maintenance once established.
